| 1. Behind the Mask - Devotional
DAY 1
THE BLESSINGS OF ABIDING
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you… Colossians 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God…Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may stand against the wiles of the devil…II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
When you spend time with the Lord in fellowship and studying His Word, He will hide you from trouble. That doesn’t mean that the trouble won’t come; you just won’t be affected in the same way.
When trouble comes and you’re not abiding in Him, worry will overtake you, shortness of finances will bother you; in short, you’ll react when trials come.
When you’re abiding in Him, that man or that woman who’s been constantly staring at you and trying to make moves on you are almost invisible. You see and don’t see them. But if you haven’t been abiding in Him, you will get trapped up and possibly end up repenting either for wrong thoughts or maybe even wrong actions. It’s when you abide in Him that you are protected. The weapons may form against you, but they won’t prosper. Paul said in Acts 27:31, “Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.”
As long as you abide, God will cover you.
2. Don't Be Deceived
I realize that I’ve allowed the cares of this world to cause me to drift away from You in prayer & fasting. Sure, I still feel Your presence, I still hear Your voice & You still use me for Your glory to minister life to others. But I miss the two main ingredients of our relationship. I remember when I used to fast on a constant basis. I remember the month long consecrations that I enjoyed so much. I remember the all-night prayer that we used to share together. Even when I was no longer under the ministry that used to practice that: every Tuesday and Thursday – Prayer & Fasting, every 2nd Friday – All Night Prayer, Tuesday thru Friday – Noonday Prayer. I moved out of state and I continued on my own with that same discipline. Enjoying the fellowship with You. WOW! How You used me then! You birthed so much through me spiritually.
I began to fellowship with another body of believers. They only had prayer service once a week; I began then to drift away from what I was accustomed to. Once again, the custom there was different so I began to fall in line with the customs of this ministry. That was my first mistake.
No matter where you fellowship, regardless of the different customs, if you have a personal relationship with God and you are accustomed to praying, fasting, and spending quality time with your Heavenly Father, then continue. Maybe God has placed you there to intercede for the ministry, the Pastor, your sisters & brothers in HIM, the services, etc. If you stop, and they’re not doing it, what’s the point of you being there? What difference are you making?
Not saying that God will place us somewhere to change things, but HE will place us on different assignments to pray. If you don’t believe me, read your bible and see for yourself. I made the mistake of changing my prayer habits in the midst of the situation instead of being used by God to make a difference.

4. Babies In The System - (A Novel)
There are so many organizations and foundations that have been set up to protect our children. We’re told that the “agency” will place our babies in homes that have been screened and approved. We’re told that this is a “safe place” for our children. Then they are rented out to people who fail to protect them. They are battered, robbed of their childhood, beaten and then placed under psychological observation to figure out why they are acting out of character. I don’t claim to be a therapist or to have all of the answers. However, the answer to the ‘why’ question is not hard to find. All you have to do is, listen to the child’s cry for help.
